For all you fans of medical dramas, you’ve probably see the more popular ones at present, such as Gray’s Anatomy, House and Nip/Tuck. You’ll also be probably familiar with the characters for McDreamy, Dr. House and Kimberly Henry. This article is going to focus on the actress that plays Kimberly Henry onscreen, a beautiful and accomplished woman, Kelly Carlson.

Kelly Carlson, born on February 17, 1976, was born and raised in Minnesota, where she spent her childhood riding and taking care of horses. Her career in the spotlight started with small roles in theatre plays. She appeared in cameos or as supporting actors in productions like Charlotte’s Web, Cheaters, Can’t Trust the Mate, and Cheaters. She even managed to get a part as an extra in the classic film 3000 Miles to Graceland.

She also has a small role in Ghostfacers, which is an offshoot of the popular paranormal series, Supernatural. To date, Carlson has also appeared in currently popular shows such as CSI: Crime Scene Investigation, Monk and Everwood.

Carlson’s first big break into the business came when she was cast as an extra in the medical series Nip/Tuck. Fans had such a overwhelming positive response to her character, Kimberly Henry, that the show’s producers contacted Carlson and announced that they were going to create a permanent role in the series for Carlson’s character. For the first two seasons, Carlson’s character, Kimberly, appeared on and off in the show, however, come the third season, she is seen as a regular member of the cast. She remained with the show until the series finale that was taped in March 2010.

However, Carlson’s career is not limited to the television screen. She has also had parts in major films such as The Marine, Castle, Paparazzi and Star Ship Troopers. To date, she starred alongside dreamy Patrick Dempsey in Made of Honor. In 2001, Carlson was honored by the Tear Sheet Magazine when they named her one of the people in the magazine’s 50 Most Beautiful People List.

Her talents even extend to commercials and product promotion! She was cast in commercials, where she modeled for products such as Millet Lite and sunglasses by Oliver Stone. She has also appeared in magazines, even becoming the cover girl in the October issue of Stuff magazine.

Carlson has also lent her talents and beauty to worthwhile causes. She is currently the spokesperson for a Minnesota-based humanitarian group called the Smile Network. This amazing group sponsors reconstructive surgery and health care for people from developing countries who have been in disfiguring accidents, or have been born with features that need some reconstruction. Carlson is also lobbying for a bill that will prevent the inhumane treatment and slaughter of horses in Mexico and Canada.

Carlson is currently living in Los Angeles, California, and is taking a break from acting and modeling. At present, she has no large projects she is working on. Perhaps she prefers to quietly spend the time with long-time beau, Tie Domi, a former NHL player. They have been together since 2008, however, Domi has not popped the questin to Carlson as yet.
